News

Current Version is 1.0.061201, dated December 1, 2006, released on December 15. This is the first release that supports the Intel x86 version of MacOS X.

The Yup core is finished. This section will contain status updates. When Yup is released to the wider public, this section will contain news related to Yup.

Yup consists of two main modules (Taro and Yammp) that are both sub-divided into smaller sub-modules. The Taro module is being written in C and Python and is integrated with Python and GTK at a low level. This is intended for interactive use. The Yammp module is written entirely in C and is interfaced with Python which acts as a scripting language. This is intended for computationally intensive use in a batch environment.

The second part (Yammp module) is more or less complete. However, the first part (Taro module) will require file format changes which will have to be propagated to the second part.
